Mum whose 13-year-old son saved 5 lives calls for more young donors

A mother whose son’s death saved the lives of five people has backed a campaign for more teenagers to register as organ donors.

Lily Turley became the first Scottish parent to meet the recipient of their child’s organ when she travelled to Northern Ireland to visit Cara Hearst.

The mental health worker, of Hamilton, Lanarkshire, wanted to meet the 20-year-old who received her son Daryl’s liver.
